Recipe for pie with dates and nuts

To spice up your next walnut cake, add a few dates to make your dessert even more delicious! This recipe is incredibly easy to replicate at home and will give you a taste of this superfood: the date. And yes, this fruit, rich in vitamins, antioxidants and fiber, but low in fat, is a real source of energy for our body! If we tend to consume them in rather sweet recipes like macroutes or squares, dates pair very well with nuts for a healthy and gourmet snack! You have to play chef in the kitchen to pamper yourself.

Recipe Cakes with dates and nuts


  • 300 g pitted dates
  • 400 g flour
  • 2 tbsp yeast
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 40 ml milk
  • 250 g chopped walnuts



Coarsely chop the dates.


Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add the egg and milk, then mix until you get a smooth and homogeneous paste.


Add dates and crushed walnuts.


Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 40-45 minutes at 180°C.


Check cooking with a knife: the blade should come out dry, otherwise continue cooking a little more while watching. Leave to cool before eating.
